DIY Boutonniere

Ok so here is my first attempt at making a boutonniere out of ribbon. I think it came out pretty snazzy. In my own critique I will need to make these flowers smaller instead of 4 inches, I'll make them about 2.5 inches, of course I plan on using cuter/sassier buttons and last of all this ribbon has nothing to do with my colors. Also, when I shrink down the proportions I will need to figure out the exact spacing. I'm really excited about makeing the guys boutonnieres for my wedding. I think it will be really cool. Once, I get a better hang of it I'll post new pictures. YAY for pictures!

should I or shouldn't I???????????

So I tried on this super cute sweater, cardigan, dress thing and I can't decide if I should buy it. Here is a not so great picture of me taking a picture of it on me. yaya!!! Anyway, I keep on thinking about it...so naturally I'm leaning on the edge of just buying it because it's so cute.

I kind of look like I'm about to go out to battle in the picture...awww whatever...I'll probably just cave and get it???

cute old men bringing style back!

Isn't this guy adorable in his bright red suspenders! I spotted him crossing the street downtown. I say we bring them back into full swing for not only cute old men and the little boys on Easter day, but for everyone young and old!












If you are having doubts( I don't know why you would) doesn't Ashton Kutcher look quite dashing/rugged in his red get up!!!!!!!????

Okay, so now you know that suspenders are HOT! Take this lesson and go out and style it up with a funky addition of suspenders to your wardrobe.

Where do you go to get inspired?

Vocab

Try using the words clean and simple rather then plain when describing something someone is wearing. This way it makes the garment feel crisp and pleasant rather then leaning towards drab that the word plain can often do, especially if you have a certain monotone quality in your voice when saying such.

Michael Kors, Why on earth would you pair a large horizontal stripe along the hips next to giant dots on the breasts. This is wrong on so many levels. Clean up your act already and start making intelligent design decisions!!!!

Get inspired already

I know that I haven't posted anything lately, but today the sun came out and I want everyone to see what I've been obsessing over lately!

I've just been collecting all sorts of images online and just loving them. I literally type in a word like crate box and find wonderful images like this funky Fresh Peach sign.
Other things that I've gone crazy about this season would be(In no particular order of course): Dancing with the stars, Dancing with the stars costumes, Denise Richards, Kat Von D, Tattoos, nature, photographs of nature, ruffly dresses, photography.

I have also started painting on canvass and I think I might just post some of those pictures as well (later).















I am also planning on posting more in the future (Sorry that it has taken me so long to start up again) and will continue my weekly Wednesday comments/ critique of style.
